Today, most people are computer literate. Even kids are quite an expert in computer. Some kids are even more knowledgeable in computer applications than other adults. However, kids also who are using the computer are prone to cyber bullying.

Cyber bullying is another form of bullying which happens either in cell phones or online. It can be harassment or a public humiliation. Cyber bullying may took place in instant messenger services or social networking sites. Any kid can also be bullied playing an online game. Cyber bullying only has negative effect on kids and no positive effects. It can damage the child emotionally and even mentally. It’s interaction with other kids can also be affected in some way.

Kids naturally won’t let their parents know that they are being cyber bullied. As parents, if you find out that your kids are being bullied in any way, there are certain things that you and your child can do to prevent more damage to your kid. For one, don’t let your kid respond. That’s probably the best thing that you and your child can do. Since it happens in the internet, let your child block the person that is bullying him or her. Or better yet, let him go offline so that your kid will no longer receive the messages. If possible, let your kid change their passwords in the event other people are using their accounts. And by the way, a bullied kid will never tell his or her parents about it. So be sure that you are not only a parent to your child but a friend as well where he or she can easily confide his or her problems.
